To me, coaching distinguishes itself by being goal-oriented. Let’s dig into some examples to help clarify this idea a bit more.
Career Pivot or Promotion
I’ve helped people work through career pivots as well as pushing for promotion. These circumstances differ, but there are often commonalities – ensuring that you show up to others in the way that you want to be seen, for example, is key to both changing careers as well as reaching the next level in your current role.
Managing Ambiguity and Change
We humans have a love/hate relationship with ambiguity. Stability and certainty often “feel good” but eventually we find them stifling, and we sometimes create instability just to “spice things up”. In contrast, when life gets massively ambiguous (after a layoff, or a major life event), we also struggle with too much ambiguity, and we crave order in the chaos. I can help you create enough structure to get things back to feeling safe, and then we can work to help you craft the new world you want.
I’ve been there…
I’ve been laid off (4x), I’ve lost a parent, I’ve had to fire a friend whom I specifically sought out and hired into my team. None of it is fun, and it’s also true that the only way out is through.
I’m emphatically ready to help you find your way through.
